Agentic readiness / commerce
Preparing brands for AI agents that search, compare and buy for customers: product data, catalogue, pricing and checkout made readable by agents, so the brand is visible, interpretable, recommendable and purchasable. It builds on our AI visibility work, where product data drives search and conversion.

Why does schema.org structured data matter for AI agents?
Structured markup is how a machine reads a product page without guessing: price, availability, variants, shipping and return terms become explicit fields rather than text to interpret. Without it, an agent either skips the product or misstates its terms.
Which KPIs measure agentic commerce readiness?
Readiness is measured against what the service sets out to achieve: whether product data, catalogue, pricing and checkout are readable by agents, so the brand is visible, interpretable, recommendable and purchasable. Visibility in generative AI is tracked through AI Brand Visibility (GEO, AI ads, etc.), with assessments, competitive benchmarking and ongoing monitoring of how the brand is represented, cited and recommended.
Is agentic commerce relevant for luxury and premium brands?
Yes, and arguably more so. Premium brands have the most to lose from being described inaccurately by an AI, or left out of a comparison they never see, and the most brand identity to protect. Fashion, luxury and retail are also where most of arad's experience lies, so they are where its agentic commerce work starts.
How mature is AI inside e-commerce operations today?
It is still early. arad's predictions for 2026 expect purchases delegated to AI agents to become mainstream, and checkouts to need to work for agents through open APIs, structured forms and catalogues a model can read. That is why arad advises brands to assess how ready their commerce stack is for agents now, before the volume arrives.
What is the Agentic Checkout Success Rate?
Agentic Checkout Success Rate is the percentage of transactions initiated by a bot or agent that complete without errors. It is the headline KPI for agentic readiness: a brand can be perfectly visible to agents and still lose the sale at a checkout step a machine cannot complete.
What is Product Data Completeness in an agentic context?
It is the percentage of the catalogue validated for machine to machine channels: attributes, measurements, materials, availability, pricing and policies present and structured in a form an agent can parse. Incomplete records are the most common reason a product never appears in an agent's comparison.
Why does API performance matter for AI agents?
Because agents crawl and transact at machine speed and in bursts. API latency and error rates that are acceptable for human traffic can cause agents to abandon or misread a catalogue, so load behaviour under bot traffic is assessed as part of agentic readiness.
How does omnichannel change in the agentic era?
Omnichannel extends from stores and e-commerce to agent interfaces, and store teams need to work consistently with a customer whose agent has already negotiated online. arad pairs omnichannel work with AI copilots for sales associates so the physical experience stays aligned with the digital one.
What is the Agentic readiness / commerce service?
Agentic readiness / commerce prepares a brand to be found, understood and transacted with by AI agents: structured product and policy data, machine readable content, transactional APIs, checkout accessibility for agents, and the governance around it.
What is agentic commerce?
Agentic commerce is commerce mediated by AI agents: assistants and autonomous agents that search, compare, select and in some cases complete the purchase on behalf of a customer. For brands it means a second class of buyer, a machine, with different requirements from a human visitor.
Why should a brand care about agentic commerce now?
Because the preparation work, structured data, machine readable policies, transactional APIs and content, takes months and has to be in place before the volume arrives. Brands that are unreadable to agents are silently excluded from the comparison, with no error message and no analytics trace.
What happens if a brand is not readable by AI agents?
It is excluded silently. Automatic comparison bots simply skip data formats they cannot read, so the brand disappears from the shortlist without any visible failure, lost traffic signal or error report. The commercial effect appears as unexplained share loss.
